Jolt - Repair Hero: Low-Poly Stylized Character Design

This project had three main components--a hero character, a power-up gem, and an environment--and they all needed to relate to each other visually. While maintaining a sci-fi flavor, I narrowed in on a more relatable "nuts and bolts" aesthetic to establish Jolt as a mechanic and tinkerer. That design direction carried into the Charge Gem and her workshop, which was inspired by old Italian car repair garages.

I was instructed for this assignment to hit a very specific visual target: a blend of low-poly forms and subtle interior gradients. I purposefully explored round forms to see how far I could push this style.

When powered up with a Charge Gem, Jolt's speed and powers are supercharged with crackling electrical energy!
